I was looking at Nathan the other day and I was amazed at the changes that he has undergone in the last 4 months. The
ENT and surgeon did such a wonderful job of repairing his jaw. Without the surgery to bring his jaw forward, Nathan would have had a
trachea placed in his
throat so he could breath. As awful as those 8 weeks with the
distractors on were, I can't imagine having to deal with a
trachea. I am continually reminded of how blessed we are to have modern medicine and such wonderful doctors caring for Nathan.

Although there are scars on the side of his face still, every day they are getting to be a little lighter. I think as a teenager he may want to grow sideburns to cover them! He is getting to be such a cute little guy!

I just can't get over those eyes. He seems to talk to you with them. Those cheeks look sooo kissable too!
