Nathan Rolled Over!!!

I personally didn't see it happen because I was at dance with Ellie last night for a make-up class; however, Jake was with the baby downstairs cleaning the bathroom and had laid Nathan on his back with some toys around him. Apparently, while Jake was scrubbing the toilet Nathan decided that he wanted a toy that he could only get to on his tummy. So like any curious kid, he moved his body to get what he wanted and rolled over on his tummy! We're so excited for him as this is another major milestone.

Way to go Nathan!

That's awesome that he rolled over! Yipppppeeeeee! Congrats Nathan!

I was gonna ask you... what is the name of the med that Nathan takes to help him tolerate his increased feedings? I'm trying to get in to the GI Clinic... and I wanted to have a heads up on the name.

Thanks for all your help!

Congratulations! What a great milestone for Nathan.

I found your site thru Rhett's and wanted to say hello as another mommy of special healthcare needs. Our son Tommy has a Gtube, permanent pulmonary care (pulmicort and albuterol), and various other stuff.

Take care, nice job keeping up your website, it's really cute!

Yay Nathan! That is just wonderful that he rolled over! Sorry I missed you at PCMC, but I'm glad to finally be out of there, 143 days was about 142 days too many! :)
Elaina has obstructed sleep apnia too, and that is why she's on the c-pap at night. She is on a peep of 8 with about 5 liters of oxygen to keep her sats up. As you can probably imagine, she doesn't like the mask at all. She fusses and fights it when it's first put on. We give her a low dose of ativan and then she usually settles into a pretty good sleep. We were giving her melatonin too, and it worked great, but it doesn't dissolve very well and it kept clogging up her NJ tube. She was on 1 mg of melatonin and you can just buy that at a health food store or with the vitamins and supplements in most pharmacies. The biggest problem I've noticed with the c-pap is that the mask can slip if she wiggles and it causes the machine to alarm. She doesn't really need the no-no's for the c-pap though, she has to wear those so that she doesn't pull her NJ tube out! She's pretty tricky! Good luck, I'll keep checking to see how it goes!

Hollie

Grandma is so proud of her little Nathan. You tell him that and give him hugs and kisses from me also. He was so close the last time that I saw him. It is so fun to see them getting to those developmental milestones.
